Individuals infected with COVID-19 are at an increased risk of cardiovascular and thrombotic complications. Pin Li, Ph.D., presents information on a multicenter retrospective study that discusses the risk assessment model to stratify hospitalized COVID-19 patients for arterial thromboembolism. The proposed model was developed using 3,531 patients and accounted for 49 variables. The final prediction model is based on 16 parameters available at hospital admission, thus allowing for risk stratification.
